My name is Corey Rondeau and I am a Production Designer at Burton Snowboards. I am also an alumnus of the Chill Foundation. As a former participant, I understand the importance of Chill’s amazing network of supporters and I would like to personally ask you for your support.

In 1996 and 1997, I was fortunate to be among the first group of participants that benefited from the generosity of Chill’s youth-development program. This coincided with a very formative point in my life—as an eleven-year-old boy growing up in a single parent household, trying to find my place in the world.

Chill introduced me to the culture and community of snowboarding, which was paramount to my development as an individual.

Chill’s snowboarding, skateboarding, surfing, and stand-up paddleboarding programs inspire youth to overcome challenges they are facing in their day-to-day lives. Through snowboarding, I established countless life skills that have helped me confidently navigate the world, both on and off the mountain. Furthermore, the culture instilled in me a love for photography and design which led to my current profession at Burton, immersed in the things I love.

My favorite aspect of Chill is how it goes beyond just offering healthy activities and a support system to providing youth with access to an everlasting global community. I cannot stress how grateful I am to have been brought into this community and how lucky I was to be a participant in Chill.

Since my time as a participant, Chill has positively impacted the lives of more than 20,000 youth throughout North America. Your gift will put even more deserving youth on a board and give them experiences and opportunities that they would not get otherwise.
