Programs
Our programs are the heart of what we do.
At Chill, our mission is to inspire youth to overcome challenges through boardsports. We do this by organizing and running snowboard, skateboard, surfing, and stand up paddleboarding programs, pairing the fun, challenge, and experience of learning to ride a board with core values that cross over into everyday life. From there we partner with local youth agencies and our programs act as an extension of their own, at no cost to the youth.
Our Approach
Revolving around a core value-driven curriculum, Chill programs consist of experiential learning activities, reflection, and discussion, paired with boardsport lessons. Chill’s six core values (Respect, Courage, Patience, Persistence, Responsibility, and Pride) provide youth with a foundation and framework for learning and growth, supported and enhanced through progression in boardsports skills and adult mentorship.
“Chill made me proud of myself for getting this far. I think I would take up any other challenge the world has to offer me.”

Program Structures
Core programs define Chill – they are our foundation, our identity, our core – and provide youth the opportunity to tackle progression on and off their boards through a uniquely cool and experiential approach. Core programs run for 5 or 6 days, typically 1 or 2 days a week across several weeks, or consolidated all in 1 week.
Discover programs provide an opportunity for partner agencies and youth to discover Chill’s philosophy through an introductory program.
Explore programs provide youth who have participated in Chill with the opportunity to build leadership skills, advance their boardsport experience and passion, and explore unique career opportunities through structured experiences.
Custom programs allow agencies to partner with Chill through a customized experience that still embodies Chill through core–value driven boardsport instruction. Programs are Custom if they deviate from a core or discover program in curriculum or length, or if youth participating are outside Chill’s age range of 11-19.
