Cindy Zhou
Board of Directors
Originally from Toronto, Canada, Cindy’s passion for boardsports, youth programming and community was sparked through her formative experience with the Burton Chill Program in 2007. As a teenager, Cindy seeked to replicate the feeling of snowboarding through skateboarding and longboarding in the city – eventually becoming a sponsored longboarder supported by brands including Loaded Boards, Orangatang Wheels, and Paris Trucks, where she cultivated a deep understanding of digital marketing and grassroots community engagement. Cindy leveraged these skills to jumpstart her career and land her first internships in the sports and apparel industries. Over a decade later, Cindy currently serves as a Category Director at TikTok, driving ecommerce, brand strategy and partnerships for key fashion accounts. Cindy has also held pivotal roles at industry-leading companies including Adidas, Yeezy and Stitch Fix. She splits her time between living in Brooklyn, New York and traveling the west coast for work. In her spare time, you can find Cindy playing basketball, climbing, traveling, making art, doing puzzles or learning something completely new altogether. Cindy’s first album was either Shania Twain’s Up! or Destiny Child’s The Writings On The Wall – but she honestly can’t remember. Cindy was a huge Limewire kid with an ipod full of music.
